Business Environment Council is pleased to be a supporting organisation of Seminar on Waste Management cum Inauguration ceremony of Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance (HKGSA) that is organised by JHong Kong Green Strategy Alliance. About the Seminar Since the past 2 decades, waste disposal in Hong Kong has solely relied on the 3 landfills. This has become an imminent problem that needs our immediate attention. Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Charging could be an effective tool to alleviate the disposal problem, but it has been a topic of long debate to impose any charging to the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) disposal. Management of food waste disposed has also come under the spotlight recently. The purpose of this seminar is to provide a platform for the policy makers, government officials, academies, consultants, engineering professionals and property management practitioners to exchange views on waste management policies, treatment technologies and management practices, taken into account the unique constraints and circumstances in Hong Kong.
